Chelsea Football Club: Thank You.

onelifeoneloveoneclub:

“There are no words to express how amazing this weekend has been. The boys overcame so much adversity to become the kings of Europe. The greatest trophy in world club football belongs to Chelsea Football Club for the next year, and nobody, NOBODY, can take that away from us. Nobody can tell us we didn’t work for this, that we don’t deserve this, because we absolutely do. Every last one of them worked their arses off for this team, for each other, and for the fans, and they were rewarded. They deserve every award they get, because they are part of the greatest institution in footballing history. It doesn’t matter that other people say awful things about us no matter what, that we never get the credit we so rightfully deserve. That doesn’t matter. Not when you’ve got the Champions League trophy to show for it. Words are meaningless when you’ve got physical evidence of your hard work.

This season has been a rollercoaster of epic proportions, but what matters most is that the boys pulled through and that we stuck by them through the hardest of times. We bleed blue, and we’ll stay with them no matter what. It’s just an unbelievably brilliant added bonus that they became the FA Cup champions and Champions of Europe this season. When we thought the season was going to end hideously, we ended up bringing two trophies home.

Every last one of the players on the team gave their everything for the club, for us, this season. They were all absolutely incredible and hardworking, and I wish I could do more than just write this post to thank them. They are all as proud to wear the lion over their hearts as we are.

There aren’t thanks enough or words enough to describe how proud I am of all they’ve done. Thank you for giving me the happiest tears of my life yesterday. Thank you for being so dedicated and loyal to the club and the supporters. Thank you for never giving up, and fighting until the very last moment. Thank you for letting me witness history. Thank you for giving me moments I’ll never, ever forget.

Thank you Robbie. There’s only one di Matteo for a reason.

Thank you for being a team. For being a family. For being brothers. Thank you for sticking together through it all. Thank you for making Chelsea supporters so, so proud.

Thank you for making me the happiest person in the world for supporting Chelsea Football Club.”
